Today I have done another S.L.J activity this one was called dear Jacinda. So what we had to do was write a letter to her and say why it is important and what do you want her to do about it. There were 4 options to pick from I picked swimming lessons should be free so here is what I have done.
I am a Year 6 student in the Uru Mānuka Cluster. My teacher is Miss McLeod. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Kia Ora Mikayla,
ReplyDeleteI’m Dani , one of the blog commenters from the Kaikohekohe cluster of the Summer Learning Journey. I have heard lots of amazing things about the Uru Manuka cluster so I thought I would come and check out some of the posts for myself!
Well done on writing a convincing letter to Jacinda Ardern about the importance of swimming lessons. We are very lucky here in New Zealand to have so many beaches, rivers and lakes we can swim in. So it is important that everyone knows how to swim. Did you know that some schools can get free lessons? Some of the students at my school got the free lessons last year, they were very lucky to also had some survival swim lessons so if they ever ended up in a survival situation they had the skills to get out safely! Does you school have a swimming pool?
Keep up the great blogging!
Blog ya later,
Dani
